Galaxy Innovations S 8180 / VU+ SOLO
Спутниковый ресивер GI S 8180 является упрощенной моделью популярного в настоящее время аппарата - Galaxy Innovations S 9895 / VU+ DUO. Это удалось достичь за счет применения одного спутникового тюнера DVB-S2, отказа от использования интерфейсов SATA/eSATA для подключения жесткого диска и прочих несущественных изменений. Производитель сделал ставку на снабжении ресивера необходимым набором функционала, в результате чего удалось с одной стороны снизить стоимость, а с другой стороны составить конкуренцию присутствующим на рынке ресиверам - Dreambox 500 HD и Dreambox 800 HD.
В ресивере GI S 8180 (Galaxy Innovations S 8180 / VU+ SOLO) имеется полноценный набор разъемов для передачи изображения: HDMI с поддержкой разрешений (1920x1080i,1280x720p,720x576p и 720x576i), YPrPb, SCART и RCA, которые позволят подключить его к любому телевизору. Также ресивер имеет оптический аудио выход S/PDIF для подключения к домашнему кинотеатру.
Применение в аппарате GI S 8180 (Galaxy Innovations S 8180 / VU+ SOLO) процессора Broadcom MIPS, аналогичные используются в ресиверах Dreambox, позволит качественно справиться с декодированием видео в формате высокого разрешения, а также дополнительно воспользоваться во время просмотра различными программами для реализации полезных функций. Также для ресивера создают имиджи различные команды на основе Enigma 2, которые имеют простоту в использовании, заслуженную популярность, надежность и многообразие доступных плагинов и дополнений, благодаря чему так популярны ресиверы Dreambox.
При выборе этого ресивера необходимо ознакомиться на форумах с его настройками и взвесить все доводы за и против покупки. Так как - это не тот аппарат, который после первого включения начнет показывать все интересующие вас каналы.

Yes, you read that correct. We have changed source (hence the long delay in release) to the Open PLi base. Many thanks to them for allowing us to use their base . If they wish to see any of the source code (without ViX specific enhancements of course ), just pm andyblac or Sicilian, and we will gladly send them on to them.
Since this is a completely new base, you will have to do a full fresh flash. Online updates will not work!!! Also, you will not be able to restore your settings from ViX 1.1 to 2.0. You will have to manually configure your box, as in testing, this has proven to cause many problems and instabilities in the box!
As already stated, this version of the release has a completely new base. This has required a lot of recoding to get the ViX enchancements working in the new PLi base... Of course, the image has the same enhancements as previous images, apart from some new additions All new version number - Yup, we've moved on to version 2.0! This has nothing to do with the fact that the PLi version is 2.0... We felt that the addition of the dvb-t (wait for it keep reading ) warranted a brand new version number. This also puts the duo and solo in line number wise! VIX Duo 2.0 Bootlogos, Radio Logos and Shutdown Logos (thanks again Silver ) Core changes to plugins and code to allow ViX features to work on Open PLi USB DTT - The one you've all been waiting for! To install dvb-t, you just need to go to the plugin menu, and select the stick you have. This will then install the drivers for your stick*. You will then need to restart your receiver. Once restarted, go to Menu -> Setup -> Service Starting -> Tuner Config, and you should notice Tuner C as your USB DTT... ViX Quick Event Info - This is the new way to receive the event info on the ViX image. Press OK button once to get the info bar up, press it once more (i.e. a second time) to receive the information about what is currently showing... New ViX Single EPG (with channel preview) - The is new and unique to vix, after you open the ViX single EPG (short RED) you can view the 7 day epg for that channel, now to see another channels epg, either use the Channel up/down buttons on your remote or just key in the channel number. if you want to preview the channel your currently viewing the EPG for (ie you want to see what the current program is like) just press 'OK' on your remote, this will change to that channel showing you the program in the small video window. if you don't like it, go find another channel to preview by keying in new channel number (or up/down buttons). or if you do like it and want to go fullscreen on it, just press 'OK' again. but if you feel you want to return to the original channel you where watching (whilst still in ViX Single EPG) just press 'EXIT" button, this will return to where you where before you entered ViX Single EPG) QuickEPG Updated to include channel preview - works as above Debug Logs - This is to enable a better idea of what's been happening with the image for any crashes ... If your box crashes, check the /home/root/ folder, and look for a file that has the date/time modified as to when the box crashed. This can help find any bugs/issues easier To enable/disable this option, go to the ViX Settings. To clear the debug logs, choose yes. This will just delete the debug logs once. If you want to delete the logs again, just go back in to the menu, and change to yes again... Bigger skin choice - OK, lots of people wanted a bigger choice of skins ... we've added lots more skins Also, most skins made for PLi 2.0 should work in ViX 2.0 also. If there are certain parts of the skin not edited for the ViX format (such as ViX menu, ViX Devices Manager, etc), then this should still work just fine. These menus have been hard coded to ensure that they will work if nothing included in to the skin... Added option to disable ViX coloured buttons - This should ensure that if users want to use MultiQuick button plugin, it should work without issue All of the PLi enhancements - This includes the infamous subtitles requested by many As well as auto audio/subtitle language selection, etc, etc). Please also note that USB / ESATA devices NEED there mount points setup in Device Manager (green button whilst in Device Manager) in order for them to work correctly.

Bug Fixes in v2.0 Motor moving image does not display - Fixed by Vu in latest drivers. Installing other skins may cause the box to get into an infinite loop - Since moving over to the PLi image, changes have been made to the way the image works with skins. Now, most skins created for the PLi image should work on the ViX image.

Known Bugs Front VFD display showing the play button at the end of a video unless it is stopped manually - Problem with main driver, reported to VU+. Few problems with WebIf Remote Control coloured buttons in timeshift/playback mode - E.G. The blue button decides to fast forward, not show the extensions menu. Network mounts not remounting if the source goes offline - You should be able to go in to the network menu, and choose "Mount Again", but this doesn't seem to be working.

You can choose where to store your backups to, either HDD or USB. /media/hdd/imagebackups or /media/usb/imagebackups folder (setup by pressing menu, whilst your in Image Manager). * ViX Team Overscan fix - This is the fix to remedy any overscan people had in the previous release. To use this, go to Menu -> Setup -> VIX -> Skin Settings and alter the "Menu Overscan amount" to suit your display. * ViX Team Swap Manager - Allows you to create/use swap files on usb/hdd, and also allows you to use swap partitions. * ViX-EPG - This is a simpler, faster version of CoolTVGuide, modified for the image. * ViX QuickEPG - This is VIXs' version of QuickZap. You can see the full epg data for the channel, not just now and next. Picons work within QuickEPG. Also includes channel preview. * ViX Quick Event Info - This is the new way to receive the event info on the ViX image. The features you can stop/start are: FTP, NFS, VPN, Samba and Telnet. * USB DTT - To install dvb-t, you just need to go to the plugins downloads, and select the stick you have. This will then install the drivers for your stick. You will then need to restart your receiver. Once restarted, go to Menu -> Setup -> Service Starting -> Tuner Config, and you should notice Tuner C as your USB DTT... * IPK Installer - Just copy your .ipk fle into '/tmp' and go to the menu option. * AutoTimer plugin integrated into image - Create an AutoTimer (Series Link), using Blue button in Current Channel EPG info. * XMLTV EPG Importer - Thanks to Rytec for his support on this Importer. Opis instalacji.
1. Gigant Addons Pack może być zainstalowany zarówno w odbiornikach VU+ Duo, jak i Solo, do dowolnego image, opartego na bazie Official-Image. Osobiście polecam image BlackHole w wersji 1.6.2 i wyższej.
2. Instalacja GAP jest bardzo prosta. Polega na skopiowaniu przez ftp pliku enigma2settingsbackup.tar.gz do /media/hdd/backup, lub media/usb/backup i zainstalowaniu go przez Software manager (menadżer oprogramowania, zaawansowane opcje, wybierz miejsce kopii, a następnie zaawansowane przywracanie, przywróć (zielony). Aby funkcje zaawansowane były widoczne, należy tryb konfiguracji enigmy ustawić na ekspert.
3. Po zakończeniu instalacji, enigma automatycznie uruchomi się ponownie już z nakładką GAP.
4. Instalację GAP można również przeprowadzić przez asystenta konfiguracji, w którym przy pytaniu "Czy chcesz przywrócić swoje ustawienia?" należy zaznaczyć "Tak, przywróć ustawienia teraz", a następnie wcisnąć 2 x przycisk OK. Oczywiście wcześniej trzeba skopiować plik enigma2settingsbackup.tar.gz do podanej wyżej lokalizacji.
5. Jeżeli nie masz ani dysku, ani pendrive, plik enigma2settingsbackup.tar.gz należy wgrać do /tmp i zainstalować komendą wysłaną przez telnet:

następnie wykonać restart enigmy:

6. Po zakończeniu konfiguracji, przejdź do GP3 BluePanel (czerwony), Dodatki, Wtyczki Gemini, zaznacz geminiplugin, oraz pozostałe wtyczki, które chcesz zainstalować. Następnie wyjdź z menu - nie restartuj enigmy!
7. Uruchom Gigant Panel i wybierz Gemini patch - nastąpi podmiana plików do Giganta, po czym enigma uruchomi się ponownie.
8. W celu poprawnej pracy wtyczki Enhanced Movie Center (EMC) V.2.0.1 należy w OSD settings (2 x niebieski) "wyłącz prosty infobar" ustawić na Nie (czerwony)
Opis instalacji Meoboot.
1.Włóż pendrive do usb, włącz Devices Manager (2 x niebieski) i podmontuj dysk jako /media/hdd, a pendrive jako media/usb.
2. Po restarcie odbiornika, ruchom meoboot i zainstaluj go w /media/usb.
GAP w oficjalnym image i VTI.
Instalacja jest podobna jak w BlackHole, z tym że, w oficjalnym najpierw z feed trzeba zainstalować wtyczkę software manager i ustawić ją na tryb ekspert,
GAP automatycznie usypia wszystkie dyski wewnętrzne i zewnętrzne w duo i solo po upływie 10 minut.
Czas usypiania można zmienić w pliku /etc/init.d/hd-idle
gdzie 600 to ilość sekund po upływie których dysk przejdzie w stan uśpienia.
Zaleca się ustawić usypianie na poziomie 3-5 minut.
Jeżeli nie używamy dysków zewnętrznych np. w duo, to można usunąć plik /etc/init.d/hd-idle i ustawić usypianie za pomocą ustawień w menu twardego dysku
Do zmiany spinner'a należy użyć Setup Spinner. Kolekcję spinners można pobrać poniżej.
Do zmiany bootlogo można użyć Setup Bootlogo. Kolekcję bootlogos można pobrać z dodatków gemini.

Instructions to connect the box to your Hdmi-Cec compatible Tv: 1) Enter in your Tv Menu Options and enable all the Hdmi-Cec options. 2) Enter in your Vu+ box Black Hole Hdmi-Cec Panel Setup (blue->blue->Black Hole Hdmi Cec: Configure in this screen the right Hdmi connection port and enable Bh Hdmi-Cec. 3) Click Save (red) button and your box will try to connect with your Tv. All Done. If your Tv is compatible you can now control Tv and Box with Tv rc. Warning: You have to select the specific port option if your box is connected to an ampli.
WARNING: This Image has the latest drivers and CAN NOT be installed in multiboot. The image MUST be installed in the flash. Black Hole can not support images not installed in the flash.

Because of a lot of changes behind the scenes of the image and building, you will not be able to perform an online update. A full flash is required for this version of ViX image. Due to many changes (a.o. renamed settings) it is strongly advised NOT to restore old settings. Of course channel-settings can be backed up using a setting editor and restored later. We strongly recommend that after installing channel settings from feeds or uploading your own that you re-scan all satellites used to avoid any future issues.
This revision of the image has undergone many different builds, hours and hours of coding/fixing, and we hope that you are now happy to reflash with the latest ViX image!
Team ViX Enchancements
New Features
Added items to the Information Screen - Added Devices and System Information to Menu -> Information. In Devices, you get all the information about connected devices on your box (HDD, USB and Network Shares), and System Information will show you your memory on your box (Swap, Free memory etc). Added OSD Settings - This replaces the overscan option within the ViX image. Go to Menu -> Setup -> System -> OSD -> OSD Setup, and ensure the screen fills your TV set exactly to ensure that all menu options are shown correctly for your TV. Added blindscan - Now, ET9000 and Vu+ Uno both have blindscan ability incorporated in to the image. And, best of all, a nice simple scan routine for it. You can choose to scan all horizontal and vertical polaritys, as well as high and low bands all in one pass. Save having to run the blind scan for each individually :thumsbup:. Added support for HDMI-CEC - This image now allows you to control your box using your tv remote. Remember, this is still experimental at the moment, and can work differently between different brands of TV makes/models. Added uShare - Allow the box to be detected by your DLNA devices that support this protocol. This can be configured under Menu -> Setup -> System -> Network -> uShare Setup. Added AFP - The Apple Fileshare Protocol makes it easy for your OSX devices to find your box and use the box natively within the OS. This can be configured from Menu -> Setup -> System -> Network -> AFP Setup. Added EPG Automatic Refresh/Save - These are useful for members who keep a single EPG datasource on a network share with multiple boxes. In Menu -> Setup -> System -> EPG -> Settings, you have the option to choose a network location (as long as configured within the NetworkBrowser). If you use this, you might want to update the EPG data from this location automatically. So now you can using the Automatic Refresh option on a client box, and Setup the Automatic Save option on a server box (the box that update the epg data.). Do not use these options both on same box. Added Automounts option - This allows the box to automatically recreate network mounts. If you've had times where the NFS of CIFS server has been restarted, or lost power etc, then you'll know that your box cannot access this network share. Well, as long as you have configured the share through the Mount Manager, then you can configure the Automount to automatically remount the share as often as you like by going to Menu -> Setup -> System -> Network -> Devices -> MountManager. Default Skin Change - The Default skin has been changed from ViX HD to ViX Day HD. Another ViX skin has been developed for download from the plugin server under the ViX section, called ViX Night HD. This is for those who want a darker skin for their image. Please report any skin issues you may find with the ViX Night HD skin. We think we have them all covered, but can't be too sure... Many plugins translated/made translatable - Allows the plugins to display correctly the information in your own language (as defined on original setup). Added seekbar functionality to the image - Allow you to seek within a recording playback to where you would like to be within the playback. To utilise this, please hold down the << or >> buttons on your remote, and the seekbar will appear at the top. Use the arrow keys on the remote to choose where you would like to seek to in the playback, and press OK to start playback from this point. Added Image Download to Image Manager - This allows you to download the latest full image from the server, and flash it to your box. To access this, go to the Image Manager from with ViX menu, and press the help button. This will list all available images to download. Lots more under the hood updates/enhancements - A few menu options and screens have become more integrated to their respective menus. For example, the Recording Paths menu is no longer required, as Timeshift Path is defined in Timeshift Setup, and Recording Path in Recording Setup.
Fixes
Corrected a number of plugins. Updated network components, including better support for WiFi. Updated translatability; updated German & Dutch translations. Hidden several ViX-core functions from the plugin-browser. Better handling of SWAP partitions by the Mount Manager. Audio Button - The audio button now works as advertised.

Da wir ja das RAD nicht neu erfinden und es schon großartige Images gibt für die Receiver, haben wir die Grundlagen schon von einigen Klasse Open Teams Übernommen.
Wir möchten uns hier schon mal bedanken für eure erstklassige Arbeit was ihr in der Vergangenheit gemacht habt und was ihr noch in Zukunft alles macht. Ohne eure Vorarbeit und Einsatz würde es kein OpenAAF Image geben.

To use this release, you will need to flash the bootloader before flashing the image
Because of kernel change, you will not be able to perform an online update. A full flash is required for this version of ViX image. But you can use Backup Manager to backup your setting, although any extra plugin will not be reinstalled by the wizard due to the kernel change.
Subtitle structure - Has been changed and now where subtitles are available you will be able to select subtles either via the subtitles Menu or via the Audio Menu then Yellow button Where Subtitles are not available you will not be able to bring up the Subtitle Menu or see the Yellow button via the Audio Menu This is not a bug but rather a change in the Subtitle structure
OpenWebIf - this now how has replaced the old WebIf, and as a result it uses the default port of 8088, if you want you can change it back to 80 in the plugin setup.
